American Assembly for Men in Nursing: An organization for nurses to meet, discuss, and influence factors that affect men as nurses.

American Association of Colleges of Nursing: AACN is the national voice for America's baccalaureate and higher-degree nursing education programs. Its main goal is the establishment of quality standards for nursing students who are working to obtain their bachelor and graduate degrees by helping the nursing profession improve healthcare through its influence, and by promoting public support of nursing education, research, and best practices.

American Nurses Association: ANA strives to advance the nursing profession by fostering high standards of nursing practice, promoting the economic and general welfare of nurses in the workplace, projecting a positive and realistic view of nursing, and lobbying Congress and regulatory agencies on healthcare issues that affect nurses and the public. American Nurses Foundation: The ANF is a national philanthropic organization that promotes the continued growth and development of nurses and services to advance the work of the nursing profession.

American Organization of Nurse Executives: AONE is a subsidiary of the American Hospital Association and a national organization of nearly 4,000 nurses who design, facilitate, and manage care.  The organization provides leadership, professional development, advocacy, and research in order to advance nursing practice and patient care, promote nursing leadership excellence, and shape healthcare public policy.

Canadian Nurses Association (CNA): CNA is a group of registered nurses collectively contributing to the health of Canadians and the advancement of nursing.
